Non-Ruckman! / Pro-KJB 1611!

To any who may be interested,

Because of my STRONG ASSOCIATION with and LOYAL ADHERENCE to the King James AV 1611 Bible ONLY, I have conceded to add to my web site the descriptive phrase “Non-Ruckman” to emphasize the impossibility of any possible connections between Dr. Ruckman and the ministry God has entrusted to me. I feel moderately compelled to do so since Dr. Ruckman stands strongly for the KJB 1611 also, and since certain groups quite falsely assume that he alone is solely responsible for the acceptance among many Christians like me of the preserved infallibility of the KJB 1611.  However, such a verbal break from Dr. Ruckman is so natural that it need almost not be stated: I have never been associated with Dr. Ruckman’s ministry, nor do I ever plan to be so—if I correctly perceive God’s will for myself, my family, and the ministry God has entrusted to me.

However, simply because I am disassociated from Dr. Ruckman does not mean that I must automatically stand on the opposite side of any or all of the issues for which he stands for or against himself.  If I believe that an issue is Biblically right to stand for, I will stand for it, by the grace of God, though the Pope himself stands for it!  For example, simply because the Pope stands against abortion (a right stand, I must say!), I have no intention of beginning to stand in favor of abortion—merely to place myself on the opposite side of the fence from him.  It matters not how many other Biblical matters there may be on which I  disagree with the Pope (and there are exceedingly many): when a position is right, I want to uphold that position no matter who else may decide to do the same!  To withdraw from or to renounce an issue—a right issue!—simply because someone else not necessarily “of the same stripe” also stands for it is absurdly non-circumspect, that is, it is a dangerously unbalanced approach to life! (Ephesians 5:15; Exodus 23:13)  More importantly, it is damaging to the very issues that need to be defended by God’s people! (Philippians 1:17)  Most importantly, it is clearly an un-Biblical approach! (Luke 12:57; 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22)  After all, it must be remembered that Dr. Ruckman—in no way—wrote, or even translated, the King James AV 1611 Bible (or any other Bible, for that matter)!  Therefore, he himself, along with either his support or defense of It, in no way impedes the Divine sovereignty and preserved infallibility of the KJB 1611 Itself! Thus, even if Dr. Ruckman had never been born, I still stand today (by God’s merciful grace) for and beside the King James AV 1611 Bible with all of my heart!

Consequently, I cannot (and never will, by God’s grace) remove “KJV 1611” from my web site—for anyone, for any reason, or even for the purpose of avoiding any misunderstanding (as long as I have a web site, anyway)!  To do so would be to me, in effect, to flagrantly burn the very banner of Christ waving triumphantly over a Bible-believing, Christ-honoring ministry! (Psa.60:4; 138:2)  Therefore, while I  disassociate myself from Dr. Ruckman (which has always been the case anyway!), I far surpassingly ASSOCIATE myself with the KING JAMES AV 1611 BIBLE—and I am both privileged and honored to be able and counted worthy to do so!  May many more soon return to the ranks of magnifying God’s Word above all—even above the supremely exalted name of Jesus, “…for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” (Phi.2:9-11; Psa.138:2; Rev.19:13)  May God’s people, as well, indeed reckon it to be so!

Yes, I humbly yet unashamedly confess that I do INDEED love and worship the inspired, preserved Word of God, even as the Psalmist himself also loved and worshipped the Word of God unashamedly, as shown within the LONGEST chapter of the entire Bible—Psalm 119! Of this, I must admit.  For this, I can do nothing but to stand, yet only by the grace of Almighty God.

Also, I stand without apology for the infallibly preserved Scriptures: for without inerrant preservation, there is NO Word of God today.  This issue is an issue of faith—nothing more, nothing less!  It is a matter belonging to God; and we must either accept His preserved Word in faith of His promise (Psa.12:6-7, etc.), or else live in a self-chosen darkness causing us to reject the fact that we have THE BIBLE in our hands!

Alas, one little error is all that would be necessary to relegate any version of the Bible into falling under the curse of God! (Pro.30:5-6; Jas.2:10; Rev.22:18-19)  If we have no inerrant Bible that we can hold in our hands, then we have NO BIBLE that is not under the curse of God!  In short, we either have a perfect copy of the Bible today, or we do not!  Now, was God able to preserve His Word as He promised He would, or were the 1611 “translators” supposedly able to foil His Divine plan and ultimate promise, as some maintain today?  No! God has indeed successfully preserved His Word, and it is nothing at all for Him to preserve It—even during the process of having It put into the English language for today!  After all, Psalm 12:6-7 unmistakably promises that God’s Word would be preserved for EVERY generation—and that means it is HERE NOW, in a manner open and attainable FOR ALL

According to Deuteronomy 30:11-14 (and Romans 10:6-9), God never has and never will be interested in obscuring His perfect Word by keeping it in an obscure form such as ancient languages which the common people can never understand on their own and with the Holy Spirit’s aid alone!  To teach otherwise is to aid or even promote the Catholicism-of-the-Dark-Age’s age-old heretical view of keeping the Scriptures out of the hands of the common people, lest the common people should pollute It!  Far be it from us as Bible-believing Christians to embrace such unseen yet deadly dangers—so help us, God!  May we be those who believe in an available Bible, an inerrant Bible, a preserved Bible—a Bible-in-hand

For this commandment which I command thee this day, it [is] not hidden from thee, neither [is] it far off.  It [is] not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?  Neither [is] it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?  But the word [is] very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.  (Deuteronomy 30:11-14)

But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down [from above]:)  Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)  But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  (Romans 10:6-9)

Indeed, may we be those who endeavor to place THE BIBLE—especially the saving Gospel!—into the hands of the common people—even if they know not a single syllable of Hebrew or Greek!  Only then can the common people ever actually hope to “…do it” “…according to all that is written therein…” in full compliance with Joshua 1:8!

Christ’s heart was ever for the common people (Mark 12:37; Matthew 11:4-5; Luke14:23)—those in the highways and hedges!  Therefore, all glory be to God that even the most common people have THE BIBLE (not some imperfect substitute) to hold in their hands!  Praise God that they do not need some priest-like or pope-like ministerial scholar declaring unto them that they cannot understand the Bible on their own, without someone telling them what the Bible really means from the original Hebrew and Greek!  Alas, if that be the case today, we, God’s people, are too nigh unto paving the way for the apostate, heretical Babylonian religion of the end-times.  Ah, but praise God! None of the common people today need any human mediator, neither to acquire salvation nor to understand the precious Bible they hold in their hands! (1 Tim.2:5-6; 1 Jn.2:26-27)  All any Christian needs, to fully have the inerrant truth at his absolute disposal, is to have THE BIBLE (but not an errant copy) and the Holy Spirit; for,

These [things] have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.  But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. (1 John 2:26-27)

To be frank, to teach that only the original Hebrew and Greek are infallible is to, in effect, ultimately rend THE BIBLE out of the hands of the common people, and to render the above verse (1 Jn.2:26-27) absolutely powerless, since only those well-trained in Hebrew and Greek would be actually qualified to have the Holy Spirit of God declare unto them what the Word of God specifically teaches on any point!  Nigh well unto blasphemy that is!  Too much like the Dark-Age’s Catholic mediatory pope-and-priest system that sounds! Vainly aspiring to join the Holy Spirit’s exclusive teaching role that would appear!  Quite the contrary! The common people “…need not that any man teach…” them!  Once again, they do not need “any man”—not even a ministerial scholar well-versed in Hebrew and Greek!  Such a truth may surprise some to no end, but God’s people can actually manage quite well without today’s illustrious Hebrew and Greek scholars—as long as THE BIBLE, obedient faith, and the Holy Spirit are in the equation!

Nevertheless, how sad it is that those erroneously rejecting the King James Bible as infallibly preserved TODAY do not realize how they are aiding in obscuring the very Gospel they may actually desire to spread (2 Cor.4:1-5)!  Alas, to all such I would lament, as the Apostle Paul,

…I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.  For if he that cometh preacheth… another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with [him].  (2 Corinthians 11:3-4)

Above all, Christians must remember that their God gave them a Book, and

I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth [it], that [men] should fear before him.”  (Ecclesiastes 3:14)

Sadly, many Christians think that the one item God holds forth as more important than any of His other works (Psa.138:2) is as vulnerable as any other book of man.  God forbid!  As with all of God’s other works, when it comes to the inspired, preserved, infallible Word of God, indeed “…nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it…”! Such a truth applies to “…whatsoever God doeth…”—He makes no exceptions, especially not with His Supreme Scriptures!

God’s people must remember that they have a God unhindered by their hindrances!  They must not, in staggering unbelief (Hebrews 4:2; Romans 4:2), lower either Him or His works to their human level of vulnerability (Numbers 23:19)!  Instead, they must strive to, in pure faith, receive and promote the glorious truth that He has an infallible Book—THE BIBLE, not some lesser substitute—for them today, regardless of whether they have ever even glimpsed Hebrew and Greek or not! God has given THE BIBLE to the common people, and it is in a modern, attainable language—the King James Bible ALONE!

In conclusion, may all who before felt otherwise now turn their hearts toward the truth of God’s preservation of THE BIBLE in the form most available for the common people today!  May they renounce any un-Biblical, near-priestly hierarchy of requiring Hebrew and Greek scholars for proper interpretation and application of the Word of God!  Then, may they delve heartily into bringing the infallible Word of God—the King James AV 1611 Bible—into the hands of the common people!

Ever So Sincerely,
-Dr. D.S. Piper, Pastor
